LaDue Counseling Services - Just Breathe...
About LCS

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. I have been in practice since 2000. Mental Health Counseling is a professional service which I provide. Because of the nature of the counseling process, the relationship between client and therapist is different from any other. While it may sometimes seem similar to a friendship, it is not. Unlike a personal relationship, the alliance between client and therapist is a working relationship based on mutual respect for the importance of the goals to be accomplished.

This is my counseling dog, Button. She is available in each session as the client prefers. She is a Shih-Poo, is very friendly and is hypoallergenic. Many times an animal can make clients feel more at ease than a human can. Button has also been trained to stay in her bed if you do not require her services.

Mental Health Services:

Mental Health Therapy is not easily described in general terms. It varies depending upon the personalities of both the counselor and the client as well as any particular problems brought forth during counseling. There are many treatment modalities for psychological problems and we will work together to determine the best modality to use. Psychotherapy requires clients to be actively involved in treatment. In order for therapy to be the most successful, you will need to make a conscious effort to work on issues brought forth in sessions both during our sessions and on your own. Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end of the evaluation, I will be able to offer you first impressions and a treatment plan. If you decide to continue therapy, please note that therapy involves a large commitment of time, money and energy. I will do my best to make your counseling experience a profound one.

Sessions:

An evaluation usually lasts from two to four meetings. During this time, we can both decide if the counseling relationship will be beneficial. If we begin psychotherapy, we will develop a treatment plan and sessions will usually happen about one time per week. Once an appointment is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for it unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of the cancellation (unless we mutually agree that you were unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances). If you miss a session, I will attempt to reschedule your appointment but cannot guarantee a certain day or time.

Telephone Calls:

At times, I may be unable to answer the phone immediately. Please understand that your call is very important and I will return your call as soon as I am able. In the case of an emergency, call 911.If I will be unavailable for an extended period of time, I will provide you with the name of a colleague to contact, if necessary.

Billing and Payments:

You will be expected to pay for each session at the time it is held unless other arrangements have been made. If your account has not been paid for more than 90 days and arrangements for payment have not been made, I have the option of using legal means to secure the payment. This may include utilizing an attorney, collection agency or small claims court. If any such action is necessary, all costs associated with the action will be included in the claim. In most collection situations, the only information I will release regarding treatment is your name, the nature of services provided and the amount due.

Insurance Reimbursements:

I take most insurances. I will fill out forms and assist you in receiving benefits for which you are entitled according to your insurance policy’s coverage. Please carefully read the section in your insurance coverage booklet that describes your mental health coverage.

Please note: You are responsible for the payment of services. Your insurance will be billed for you, but if payment is not received by insurance you will be billed for unpaid amounts. Unpaid bills over 90 days will be sent to collection.
